Engineers India Ltd. has been honoured with first prize of ‘Indira Gandhi Rajbhasha Shield’ for the year 2003-2004 for its outstanding contribution in the field of implementation of official language. The award was given by the Hon’ble Home Minister Shri Shiv Raj V Patil to the Chairman & Managing Director Shri M.K. Dalal at Vigyan Bhawan on 14th September, 2005.

EIL is recipient of this award successively for the last four years. The company bagged second prize for the year 2000-2001, first prize for 2001-2002, 2002-2003 and 2003-2004.

Indira Gandhi Rajbhasha Shield is awarded each year to the Ministries, Departments, Banks, Financial Institutions, Town Official Language Implementation Committees and Undertakings of Government of India for excellent performance in the field of progressive use of Official Language Hindi and for outstanding achievements in implementation of Official Language Policy of the Union.
