In line with its tradition of rising to the occasion in the event of any natural calamity, Engineers India Ltd. has donated Rupees One Crore to the Prime Minister's Relief Fund for Tsunami Relief Operation. The cheque for Rs. One Crore was presented to the Hon'ble Minister of Petroleum & Natural Gas Shri Mani Shankar Aiyar by Shri M K Dalal, Chairman & Managing Director of EIL in presence of Shri Prabh Das, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas. EIL's employees have also contributed their one-day salary amounting to Rs. 27 lakhs for the Prime Minister's Relief Fund and also sent relief material for the victims.
