indJet®, an indigenous technology, has been jointly developed by IOCL-R&D and EIL- R&D for production of ATF and EIL has also carried out the Detailed Engineering for this unique hydrotreating process. The process is also capable to produce Pipeline Compatible Kerosene (PCK). A grass-root indJet® unit was successfully commissioned at Barauni Refinery (BR) on 30th June 2022 for which the Performance Guarantee Test Run (PGTR) was carried out between 19th to 21st Sept 2022 to meet the growing demand of ATF. It is another critical step to achieve Atmanirbharta in the Oil & Gas technology development and deployment in line with the Govt. of India’s initiatives towards “Make in India”. It is worth noting that indJet® technology has already bagged the award (jointly with IOCL-R&D) at 25th Energy Technology Meet in ‘Best Indigenously Developed Technology’ category for 2021-22.
