New Delhi, June 30, 2026: Shri Atul Gupta has assumed charge as Chairman & Managing Director of Engineers India Ltd (EIL) with effect from June 29, 2026.

A Mechanical Engineer from GBPUAT, Pantnagar, Shri Gupta is a seasoned leader with over three decades of distinguished experience in conceptualising and executing complex projects across domestic and international markets. He has led cross-functional teams in delivering multi-billion-dollar projects on time, cost-effectively and to the highest quality standards. Prior to assuming the role of Chairman & Managing Director, he headed the Company's Commercial Directorate from August 2022, where he led key functions such as Business Development and Supply Chain Management with a strong focus on growth, operational excellence, transparency, efficiency and value creation.

He has played an instrumental role in formulating and implementing commercial plans, policies, governance frameworks and business strategies aligned with the Company's corporate objectives. A firm believer in collaboration as a cornerstone of sustainable growth, he has consistently fostered teamwork, empowered professionals to achieve organizational goals.

During his tenure as Director (Commercial), the Company strengthened its order book, significantly expanded its international business footprint and further consolidated its position in the domestic market. He also spearheaded initiatives to expand EIL's presence in infrastructure and diversified business sectors while promoting sustainable and technology-driven solutions. His efforts have contributed to advancing the Government of India's Make in India initiative, reinforcing the Company's commitment to indigenisation, self-reliance and nation-building.
