New Delhi, April 21, 2023: The 41st PSPB Inter Unit Table Tennis Tournament hosted by Engineers India Limited (EIL) during April 18-21, 2023 at Indira Gandhi Stadium, New Delhi concluded today. Ms. Vartika Shukla, C&MD, EIL presided over the closing ceremony in the presence of Sh. Kamlesh Mehta, Secretary General of the Table Tennis Federation of India and Sr. Management officials from Oil PSUs and PSPB.

The closing ceremony was preceded by the Men’s and Women’s Singles final matches wherein Sh. G Sathiyan (ONGC) and Ms. T Reeth Rishya (IOCL) emerged victorious, respectively. While Sh. Sathiyan beat Sh. Achanta Sharath Kamal 4-1, Ms. T Reeth Rishya got the better of Yashaswani Ghorpade (OIL) 4-3 in a closely- fought contest. In the Team Championships, defending champions Team ONGC won the Men’s Team Title beating team IOCL 3-1 while IOCL, also the defending champions, won the Women’s team title beating Team OIL 3-2.

While congratulating the winners and participants for making the event a grand success, C&MD, EIL, Ms. Vartika Shukla complimented all for upholding the highest standards of sportsman spirit during the tournament and wished them the best in their pursuit of sporting excellence for the Nation.

The 4-day Table Tennis extravaganza witnessed some enthralling encounters with the top-notch players of the country putting on display their tremendous skills and never-say-die spirit to come up trumps.
